Abstract
By means of interviews and questionnaires, a survey is made of the values of young elementary and secondary school teachers and the findings show that young teachers attach the greatest importance to their survival value, following which is their value of growth. Young teachers are found to have significant difference in their values when it comes to demographic variables like gender, educational background. Suggestions for fostering a proper and positive value among young teachers are made for the education authorities, schools and the young teachers themselves.
