On Teaching of Historical Figures with New Curriculum as Orientation in Normal Universities

  • Before teaching history at normal universities, we have to study New Curriculum of history of middle schools. Further, we have to examine the original principles, content and methods of teaching according to the curriculum. One important aspect is how to highlight the teaching of historical figures after the stress on humanistic education suggested by the curriculum. Such teaching can focus the following aspects: evaluation on historical figures, proper understanding Marxist views toward classes, and new views and horizons in the teaching. And the innovation of such teaching can be conducted from the following: setting up the new conception concerning the teaching of historical figures, adding special courses on historical figures, and strengthening such teaching. Through a series of innovations including the one of teaching of historical figures, we can succeed in training the personnel which can adapt themselves to the new curriculum.
