Analysis on the Features and Reason of Land Use Time Dynamic Change of Chongqing

With the development of social economy and the acceleration of the urbanization process, the land use of Chongqing had undergone significant changes. Based on the land use types datum from 2003 to 2009, the features and reason of land use time dynamic change of Chongqing are analyzed, and the following conclusions were found: First, the pattern of land use is mainly composed of cultivated land, forest land, but has undergone dramatic changes; Second, there was a decreasing tendency of cultivated land, unutilized land, and a large increase in garden plot, forest land and construction land; Third, the index of land use comprehensive degree stayed at 245 to 246, it was a little large but still with climbing space; Fourth, land use diversity index and fractal dimension strengthened gradually, while dominance index was declining gradually, which shows that the degree of land use was intensified, and the trend of land cover fragmentation was obvious; Fifth, the expansion of urban construction land, the adjustment of agricultural structure and ecological restoration, water flooding in three gorges reservoir area were responsible for the changes in land use types of Chongqing. Based on our finding, the paper calls for the scientific and ordered use of land resources thus to promote the comprehensive benefits of land use.
