The System Reform Research of the Professional Curriculum System of Geography in Higher Normal Schools under the Background of the New Curriculum Reform

  • Take the major of Geographical Science in some normal universities as an example, after an analysis of the existing problems found in producing professional talents in this field, the following issues are found in need of our attention in the talents production system reform: the adjustment of the proportion between compulsory and optional courses; the increase of courses related to teachers education; the setting of courses according to classifications; the expansion of major field; to attach adequate importance to practice courses construction and etc., thus to establish a geographical education curricular system that is up to the standard for the 21st century quality education.
