A Contrastive Study between Word List Attached to New Language Curriculum Standards and Words in Chinese Text Books

Abstract
The word list attached to New Curriculum makes up the shortage as lack of classes, order and levels of Chinese words in the past textbooks of fundamental education. And it has laid the foundation of a new compilation of Chinese words in Chinese textbooks. However, the nature of the words attached to New Curriculum is yet to be discussed, and the applicable objectives are not so clear. The teaching of literacy to children should be matched with the word list that is in accordance with children’s cognition and learning. Consequently, it is an emergent task to develop a leveled word list for the Chinese textbooks of fundamental education.
