On JI Yong ren’s Poetic Styles: A Case Study of His Chanting against Bitterness
Abstract
The collective poems Chanting against Bitterness were written by JI Yong ren in prison. And they expressed his calmness while he was in trouble and his reflection of his fate. His poems were characterized by BAI Ju yi’s style — being easy to understand as well as LI Shang yin’s — implication and introversion.
