On Influences of Classic Worshiped Theories on DU Fu’s Creation

Worship to classic works has been an important way of literary criticism in traditional Chinese literary theories and fundamental demand for creation. It was proposed by XUN Zi. And in A Diction Book, LIU Xie also advocated this orientation. In addition, he put forward beauty of six devices in literary creation. And DU Fu was a great realistic poet and his creation was deeply influenced by such advocation. He not only worshiped five classic Confucian works, but worshiped classic works in various fields. The beauty of six devices was best expressed in his poems.
