On Literati and Their Lives in Former Shu Kingdom

From the founding of Former Shu by WANG Jian to WANG Yan’s surrender, literati witnessed their special period. They were quite active at the time. And in their small kingdom that was in far away place and far from central government, they faced with more choices of their lives. Their fame and fate were closely related with the two kings and their governing strategies as well as turbulent atmosphere. Under the background of WANG’s regime, these literati were immersed in the cultural atmosphere of this special region, and their lives had their unique features.
