The Effect of Hcetochlor on Activities of Catalase in Common Wheat
Graphical Abstract
Abstract
In order to research the influence of herbicide on Common Wheat catalase (CAT), the activity curves of CAT in wheat seedlings can be clearly detected by acute toxicity experimental method by applying different concentration of herbicide 〖WTBX〗Acetochlor〖WTBZ〗 to pass on individual treatment to wheat seedling cells. Results show that with the increase of exposure time, under acetochlor stress of different concentrations, the CAT activity of the wheat seedlings cells takes on different changing trends. At low mass concentration, the CAT activity will first fall, and then go up and at last fall again; at medium mass concentration, the CAT activity will rise first, then fall and at last rise again; at high mass concentration, the CAT activity will decline very slowly. Under acetochlor stress, the CAT activity of wheat, compared with the control group, is significantly different(P<0.01), which helps draw a conclusion that acetochlor has a rather strong poisonous effect upon wheat seedlings.
