A Study of Practice of Diversified Evaluation Modes in College English Teaching

  • On the evaluation theory of Gardner’s Multi-view on intelligence and ability, the paper has constructed a multiple evaluation model with multiple evaluators, flexible evaluation standards and evaluation methods which include diagnostic, formative, and summative evaluation. The practice of multiple teaching evaluation model which is combined with college English teaching of the author’s university shows that the new evaluation model is helpful to promote students’ interest and enthusiasm, train their ability of self-learning and cooperative study. Further, it helps to improve students’ English achievement.
