Bibliometric Analysis of Scientific Research Documents of Chinese Folk Sports for the Recent 10 Years
Abstract
By the methods of literature survey, mathematical statistics and quantitative analysis, a statistical analysis was conducted over the folk sports papers published during the ten years from 2001 to 2010. The results showed that: in the past 10 years Chinese Folk sports study witnesses an irregular growth trend; the number of papers published in core sports journals is rather small; the number of the funded papers underwent a significant increase; the research methods applied is disturbingly too simple and few;the research content focuses too much on the basic theoretical study; the authors of the papers are found to take an uneven regional distribution; lecturers and associate professors form the backbone in the number of publications; The co-authored rate is 46.6%, with two co-authors being the most common; the number of the core paper author is 13, indicating the core group of authors has not yet completely taken shape.
