The Gender Differences in A Pupil’s Spontaneous Play in Neijiang

  • A self-made open questionnaire was used on 1328 pupils in 4 elementary schools in Neijiang to investigate the gender differences in pupils’ spontaneous play. The results show that there are significant gender differences in pupils’ play. The older the pupil is, the bigger the gender differences could be observed. The boys generally are fond of open games of strong antagonism and more changes while the girls favor games of relatively weak antagonism and less changes, and the elder girls like gentler and quieter games.
