Language by Novel Critics

The narrative language of ancient Chinese novels is mainly used to narrate story, describe characters and develop the plot. Meanwhile, it can also be used for the expression of people’s feelings, description of the scenery and discussion, etc. The critics in ancient China made more comments than one on the novel narrative language, and they even had their unique points of view. Accordingly, we find it necessary to take an integrated study of it.
