Study on Spectrophotometric Determination of Zinc(Ⅱ) in Medicaments
Graphical Abstract
Abstract
A new spectrophotometric method for the determination of Zn (II) in medicaments was developed by aid of Zn (II)-SCN-RhB system. The results showed that the maximum absorption wavelength of ion-association complex was at 555 nm. Under the optimum experimental conditions, the relationship between the absorbance at 555 nm and Zn (II) content in 0.080 ~ 0.80 μg·mL-1 conformed to Beer’s law and the apparent mole coefficient was 5.5×104 L·mol-1·cm-1. This method can be applied in determine trace zinc content in medicaments with satisfactory results.
