On the Aesthetic Thoughts of Music in LU Ji’s Yanlian Zhu: Third of Serial Studies of Aesthetic Thoughts of LU Ji’s Music
Abstract
To strengthen his argument, LU Ji employs a large amount of exposition which implies rich aesthetic thoughts of music. These thoughts have four aspects: the perfect music as the conduct which cannot be inherited, music decided by one’s moral instead of by his instruments, the elegant music with less people chorusing and self-satisfaction in enjoying music, and the aesthetic thoughts concerning music creation, performance and instruments employed.
