Upholding Fundamental Principles and Breaking New Ground:A Research Review of Construction of Pedagogy of Higher Education in China since the 21st Century

  • Since the 21st century, research in the construction of pedagogy of higher education in China can be roughly divided into two parts: internal and external construction. Internal construction focuses on the attributes and orientation of the discipline, research methods, theoretical systems, and discourse systems. External construction focuses on organizations of the discipline, the disciplinary culture, and talent cultivation. Overall, the development trend of the construction of pedagogy of higher education is to seek a Chinese-style path for the development and localization of the discipline in the face of disciplinary challenges at present. This further clarifies the direction of development for the discipline in China. It also presents specific requirements for the construction of the discipline in the context of the intension development of higher education in China.
