Textual Research into Colloquial ChineseZi in RandengScript from Perspective of Cognition
Abstract
The
RandengScript contains a large number of colloquial Chinese
Zi(characters). These colloquial Chinese
Ziare products that have been conventionally established through long-term writing practices. Their emergence and evolution represent ethnic characteristics of cognition, and are deeply influenced by internal psychological factors of the transcribers. Therefore, discussions on the generation and evolution of colloquial Chinese
Ziin the
RandengScript are further explored from the perspective of cognitive science, combining perception, intellect, and other cognitive conceptions. This study could offer new perspectives for related issues such as the evolution of colloquial Chinese
Ziand new approaches to identifying difficult colloquial Chinese
zi.
