Abstract
A hand-drawn map titled
Marching Route Map of the Central Security Regiment in Northern Shaanxi Provincesince 1947 to 1949 is donated by relatives of FAN Changjiang. It provides detailed annotations of the marching routes of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China during their redeployment in Northern Shaanxi Province, the place where MAO Zedong stayed, the stationed areas of the Central Security Regiment, as well as the situations of enemy and the army led by the Communist Party of China. Through the investigation by FAN's relatives, the analysis of FAN's writing style, the testimonies from informed individuals, and the cross-referencing with FAN's film (
Witness of History) script, it has been confirmed that this marching route map was drawn by FAN in the late 1950s and early 1960s for the creation of the film script. This map holds significant historical value for the study of the redeployment in Northern Shaanxi Province and FAN's later career.
