To explore the influence of positive and negative parenting styles on college students' professional identity and its action mechanism, 570 undergraduate college students were investigated with the Simple Parenting Styles Scale, Professional Identity Scale and Future Work Self Salience Scale. Results show that: The positive parenting style was positively correlated with college students' professional identity, while the negative parenting style was negatively correlated with college students' professional identity; The future work self salience plays a partially intermediary role between positive parenting style, negative parenting style and college students' professional identity. The results of the study examined the relationship between parenting styles and college students' professional identity, revealed the mechanism of action, and provided an important theoretical basis for strengthening college students' professional identity.
