A Review of Research on Synergistic Effects in Second Language Learning in China
Abstract
A study of first-class papers on synergistic effects in second language learning in China in the past two decades shows that interactive synergy can effectively promote second language learning and that the interaction of various external factors and the learner’s internal factors has an impact on the intensity of the synergistic effects in terms of situation, emotion and language. However, the collaborative sensitivity to target language items is affected by individual differences. Future research should focus on the current status and interactive patterns of different grades of Chinese second language learners’ collaborative discourse ability in order to systematically describe the cognitive mechanism of second language acquisition and the development process of interlanguage based on synergistic effects.
