Graphical Abstract
Abstract
The difficulty in mathematics learning is the state of non-normal psychological meaning formed in the process for acquiring the psychological representation of the quantitative relation of mathematical objects or for constructing of spatial form attributes on the part of the learners. From the perspective of cognitive psychology of information processing, mathematical learning difficulties are concomitant with the various abnormal instances in the process of information processing, such as input, coding, integration, organization, and recognition, from which the various types of mathematical learning difficulties might arise, namely, the situational learning difficulty, the knowledge-type learning difficulty, and the thinking-incurring learning difficulty and the operation-related learning difficulty and so on.
