The Talent Demand Research of Sichuan Catering Industry Based on the Industry Transformation and Upgrading
Abstract
Through the analysis of the existing problems found in the transformation and upgrading of the catering industry of Sichuan and its accomplishing paths, methods like the literature review, survey, observation and qualitative study were employed to investigate the talent demand for catering industry transformation and upgrading in Sichuan.The findings show that the catering industry transformation and upgrading is faced with problems like the lack of a clear strategy for industrial development, a too traditional style of operation, a backward marketing philosophy, the role of government and the catering guild being unclear, etc, .All these problems are closely related with the lagging-behind training of catering talents in this province.Thus the current catering industry is in dire need of talents for market environment analysis, strategic planning personnel that could give decision-making support, operational staffs that could push forward the transformation and upgrading of production and operational mode, marketing personnel that could advance the transformation and upgrading of marketing management, talents who could put in use the key technologies created by core competitiveness and staffs who could push forward the service upgrading.
