Teaching Strategies for Understanding Mathematics
Abstract
Understanding is based on the cognitive processing of information, and the process of internal mental representation and gaining psychological meaning based on existing knowledge and experience.Understanding mathematics is a correct, complete and reasonable representation of mathematical knowledge.The understanding of mathematics is the premise of successful mathematies teaching, and the basis of students’ successful learning of mathematics.Understanding the teaching of mathematics has the following strategies:stimulating understanding of mathematical motivation, and cultivating interest in understanding mathematics;enriching mathematical knowledge and experience, and improve understanding of mathematical efficiency;using working memory principle to reduce cognitive load;good at using chart and special examples to highilght visual understanding.
