Analysis of Spiking Effect of Attack Tactics for Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team at Rio Olympics

  • By use of the methods like documentary literature, video review, mathematical statistics and comparative analysis, an in-depth analysis is made of the spiking effect of the Chinese women’s volleyball team and its opponents in eight games in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. The results show that:The attack effect of the Chinese Women’s volleyball is to a certain extent weaker in comparison with that of its opponents in terms of the first attack and counterattack spikes effect and opponents, yet no significant difference is found between them;however, in terms of defense attacks and accelerated spikes, the Chinese did strikingly better than their opponents. On the whole, the Chinese women’s volleyball team are basically as strong as their opponents in serving the ball and spiking effect of the first attack, but still weaker than their opponents like Brazil, the United States and Serbia;yet the Chinese team are stronger than their opponents in their counter-attack spiking effect.Suggestions:the Chinese women’s volleyball team should further strengthen their skills in service reception, blocking and defence, and at the same time, strive to construct their serving format, blocking and defending format so as to effectively improve their service reception success rate and counter-attack success rate and thus to lay a solid foundation for achieving the later offensive success.
