  • The novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms has much description of prophetic culture in shaping its images.
    Through the prophetic content, it has made deified description of emperor and kings of that time in different degrees. The most mysterious figure, ZHUGE Liang, has comparatively many elements of the prophetic culture, which are shown in his adept- nessin tracking astronomical phenomena, penetration of nature and man, foreseeing the future and leaving the after-life schemes. QIAO Zhou is strikingly characterized by inevitable divination in his speech. His official businesses are determined by divination and he advocates obeying to God’s will.
