Relationship Between the Career Decision-making Self Efficacy and Employment Pressure-Coping Styles among College Undergraduates: The Mediator Role of Psychological Capital

  • In order to explore the relationship between career decision-making self-efficacy, the coping styles of employ-
    ment pressure for undergraduates and psychological capital among college students, 245 college students were investigated with Achievement Motivation Scale, Coping Styles Scale and Psychological Capital Scale. The results showed that(1) achievement motivation was positively related to positive coping style, and was negatively related to negative coping reaction; (2)psycholog- ical capital was significantly positively related to achievement motivation and positive coping, and negatively related to negative coping; (3) psychological capital was playing a mediator role between achievement motivation and the coping styles of employ- ment pressure for undergraduates. Therefore,from the point of psychological capital view, through the strengthening of accu- mulation of college students’psychological capital,it can enhance the employability of college students.
