On Economic Policies of the National Government during the Liberation War
Graphical Abstract
Abstract
After the Anti-Japanese War, the National Government did not take measures to stabilize the market and
price. Instead, it spared no effort to launch the civil war, which worsened the economy in Kuomintang ruling areas. To reverse
such situation, the National Government adopted a series of economic policies which were of little help. The mistakes of these policies led to the increasing inflation and collapsing economy in the areas ruled by Kuomintang.
