On YANG Shen’s Yuefu Poems

Abstract

YANG Shen’s Yuefu poems inherited the Han Yuefu’s realist tradition of feeling and expression. They not
only have the rich thoughts and content, but deeply reflect the social reality, and are characterized by relatively high artistic value and striking political intervention. This exerted profound influence on the creation of realist poems in Ming and Qing Dy- nasties.
