Practice and Innovation of Private Higher Learning Institutions Party Building in New Media Era

With the rapid development of science and technology,colleges and universities are facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges as well. In view of this,a briefing is done to the status quo of the party building in the private higher learning institutions and an analysis is given to the challenges faced with the party building work faced with these universities: 1. Party building is in need of innovation of its working mode; 2. The new media information is intermingled with bad and good content, which poses new difficulties to the ideological and political work on college students. Accordingly, some counter measures are proposed: to raise the ideological awareness so as to build a sound and perfect party organization in private colle- ges and universities;to reinforce the consciousness of bastion and to achieve innovation in party building at grass-root level via new media technology so as to build the private higher learning institutions into schools with greater characteristics and vitality.
