A Probe into the Causes of Early Death of“Intellectual Women” in Huizhou in Ming and Qing Dynasties

There were a lot of talented ladies in Huizhou in Ming and Qing Dynasties who died in their early years. This was closely related with their existent environment, health, regional conventions and unexpected disasters. But the primary reason should be the shackle and prosecution of feudal rites of over millennia. Besides, similar to other ordinary people, the in- tellectual women could hardly get rid of such shackles and they lacked the necessary resistance consciousness.
