On the Creation of Ancient Chinese Prose by REN Huan Who was an Anti-pirate Hero in Ming Dynasty

  • REN Huan, an anti-pirate hero of Ming Dynasty, made high achievement in creation of ancient Chinese prose. His collection of poems and prose Meanderings about Mountains and Sea was collected into A Complete Library in the FourBranches of Literature. His ancient Chinese prose paid attention to the reality, stressed education, and was written for anything useful. And it showed relatively well his mind of taking the whole situation into consideration. At the same time, a lot of his articles are characterized by firmness, persistence, and high quality with high art. And they are full of vigor and dif- ferent from those stereotyped writings which were empty and pedantic and only stressed form.
