On the Unique Charm of LI Bo-qing's “Sanda” Storytelling —— A Perspective of Localization and Artistic Evolution

  • LI Bo-qing is the founder of Chengdu's “Sanda” storytelling art. After decades of continuous innovation and development, he has changed such art into a special genre. This art, on the one hand, has excavated the Sichuan local culture, and merged Chengdu dialect, market place life, and Chengdu branch of Sichuan cuisine into its content with a high technique; on the other hand, it has inherited some traditional elements, and developed them together with the unique features of “Sanda”. LI Bo-qing's art is characterized by vast topic, interesting content, and rich expression. It has reflected the evolution of market place culture of a certain region.
