Abstract
This paper has made a survey and analysis of enrolling motives of 273 freshmen majoring in 3-year, 3+2-year and 5-year education of Jiangmen Polytechnics College enrolled in 2015. The results show that their enrolling motives and influential factors are quite different, among which “to improve self-cultivation” and “to master special knowledge and skill” are dominant. The “personal willingness” is the dominant factor which influences the choice of colleges. And the vocational colleges should deepen the construction of specialty connotation, stick to the diversified talent training modes, strengthen the education of ideology and morality, and planning of professional career. In addition, they should teach their students in accordance to their aptitude.
