Decoupling Analysis of Carbon Emission on Land Use and EconomicGrowth in Chongqing
Graphical Abstract
Abstract
The Tapio decoupling model was adopted to analyze the relationship of carbon emissions on land use and economic growth in Chongqing. Results reveal that from 1999 to 2013,the carbon emissions on land use and economic growth in Chongqing have all shown a weak decoupling, with the exceptions of 1999 and 2005, which are of an expansionary negative decoupling; the energy-consumption decoupling factor is the major influencing factor; the city function core area and the city function development area, the urban development new district, the northeast ecological conservation development area of Chongqing, are all found to be consistent with the decoupling status of Chongqing, while the southeast ecological protection zone shows an expansionary negative decoupling in 2000,2004 and 2005,in the other years it shows a weak decoupling.
