Reflection upon the Government Micro-blog's Guiding Function in Public Sentiments

On the basis of a scientific definition of government micro-blog and public sentiment, it is pointed out what constitutes the advantages and functions of the government micro-blog in guiding the public sentiments. And the existing problems are put under examination: the laws and rules governing the development of government micro-blogs are far from complete; the safeguarding capacity construction of government micro-blogs is badly needed; inadequate awareness is found for the importance of the guiding function of government micro-blogs; the mechanism for government micro-blogs is incomplete and unscientific. And coping measures are suggested: relevant laws and stipulations be promptly drawn up; and policy flaws be made up for; a concise and efficient leading body be formed and responsibilities be substantially fulfilled; the top five mechanisms be established to actively guide the public sentiments so as to provide some helpful reference for the healthy development of government micro-blogs.
