Self-esteem and Subjective Well-being of Senior High School Students:
Graphical Abstract
Abstract
In order to find out the relationship between self-esteem and Subjective well-being and the mediating effect of resilience, the Self-esteem Scale and the Subjective Well-being Scale were employed to conduct a questionnaire survey among 640 senior high school students. The results show that(1)the self-esteem is positively correlated to resilience, and both of the two are positively correlated to their subjective well-being;(2)the self-esteem of senior high school students not only exerts a direct influence on their subjective well-being, but also has an indirect effect on students' subjective well-being level through their resilience;(3)the resilience partially plays a mediating role between self-esteem and subjective well-being.
