Problems and Suggestions on the Construction of the Slope Field intoTerrace in Southern Sichuan Hilly Region

There is a large proportion of sloping farmland with rather poor quality in Southern Sichuan Hilly Region, which has become the major source of soil erosion in this region, and the construction of slope into terrace is an important solution in controlling soil erosion and improving agricultural production conditions. Thus the Neijiang City is taken as an example and problems like the oversized field acreage, cultivating technology being against the principle of soil maintenance, are found in the planning and construction of the engineering terrace and the maintenance management after the completion of a project. And measures are put forward such as the soil conservation tillage, biological protective embankment, soil fertility and so on to strengthen the maintenance of terraced field, and thus to rid of the problems caused by the construction deviation.
