Preparation and Performance Evaluation of EmulsionDefoamer Based on Silicone/ Polyether Used for Fracturing Fluids

With simethicone and polyether as the main materials, emulsion defoamer used for fracturing fluids was prepared by using emulsification of compound emulsion system. The effects of different components content on the properties of the defoamer were discussed. The results show that the performance of the defoamer is the best when silicone emulsifier content is 10% of simethicone, the ratio of SP-80 to T-80 is 8:2, the total amount of emulsifier is 40% of total mass of simethicone and polyether, the ratio of simethicone to polyether is 4:6.
