Solid Phase Synthesis of Tartaric Acid Cerium Nanomaterialsand Its Structural Characterization

  • Under the normal indoor temperature, the cerium acetate C 2H 3CeO 2·nH 2O and tartaric acid C 4H 6O 6were used to prepare, with a single step, the cerous tartrate Ce 2(C 4H 4O 6) 3through the method of synthesis of nanoparticle via solid phase chemical reaction under the effects of ultrasonic wave and the surfactant of the twelve sulfuric acid sodium. After drying at room temperature, the size, composition and morphology of the product were characterized by use of X-ray diffraction(XRD), infrared spectroscopy under transmission electron microscopy(TEM); the phase of the product solid phase was analyzed. The test results showed that the solid product is made of granular nanocrystals whose size is relatively uniform with the average grain diameter of about 30nm.
