The Solid-phase Synthesis of Cerium Molybdate Nanocrystals andIts Structural Characterization

    • Under the conditions of indoor temperature, surfactants and ultrasonic wave, Cerium Molybdate nanocrystals were synthesized in an agate mortar through infrared solid-phase chemical reaction. By use of X-ray diffraction(XRD)and Electron Diffraction(ED)an analysis was made of the phase of the solid product, and by means of Transmission Electron Microscope(TEM), the particle size, morphology, particle diameter and distribution were observed and tested. The results showed that the product was uniform in particle size, with an average particle size of about 48nm. The change of the ratio of raw materials, the reactants, and the conditions of solid phase reaction will have certain effects on the yield and product size of the Cerium Molybdate nanocrystals. Under the optimal reaction conditions when the reactants proportion is at 1: 3, by grinding and under the combined effects of the infrared and ultrasonic waves, the products were most uniform in the grain size and of the best quality.
