“Demand Levels” and Scarlett's Psychology

On the basis of Maslow's theory of demand level, this paper has analyzed Scarlett's psychology of demand levels from needs of safety, affiliation and love, and self-respect needs, and physiological one, and self-realization. This shows that Scarlett, from an arrogant and self-willed noble miss to a strong female who rebuilds her own home, has undergone a complicate journey of heart. And her psychological activities are also extremely complicated, pluralistic and contradictory.
