A Brief Study of Dilemma and Way-out of Middle School PoliticalTeachers' Professional Development in the New Period

  • The good professional knowledge and technique are of significance not only for the promotion of middle school political teachers' comprehensive quality and the realization of their self value, but also for the guarantee of the teaching quality of politics and improvement of students' ideological and moral quality. The reformation of new curriculum has played a great role in driving middle school political teachers' professional development. However, due to the influence of both internal and external factors, the further development of their professional knowledge and techniques has met its dilemma which is particularly in the teachers' low salary, low status of the course, imperfect mechanism of the subject, professional cognition of some teachers and weak professional dedication. In order to adapt to the new demands for quality education and new situation of curricular reform, we should seek for the coping strategies from the following three aspects: laying the solid material foundation of subject, perfecting the mechanism of guaranteeing the teachers' profession, and promoting the subject status.
