On ZHENG Zhen-duo's Research Methods of Classical Novels

ZHENG Zhen-duo was another master who studied Chinese classical novels after Hu Shi and LU Xun in the early 20th century. He began his work from collecting and sorting literature, and had made great contributions to the colophon, bibliography, emendation and reservation of novels. In addition, he attempted to solve problems in research of novels with some new methods as literary evolution theory and social history, and had made specific achievements. Some new research methods started by him are worth studying.
