On Divergence of Wudoumi Doctrine from Ghost One

Ghost Doctrine was popular in Ba and Shu regions. ZHANG Ling founded Wudoumi Doctrine on the basis of Ghost one. Though it was a branch of the latter in Ba and Shu regions, it had different development. The regime established by ZHANG Lu in Hanzhong was a trial to bring Wudoumi close to the ruling class. This widened the gap with Ghost one. Afterward, GE Hong summarized and perfected the Taoist theories, and KOU Qian cleaned up Taoism and actively drew themselves close to the ruling class. All these contributed to the status of Wudoumi Doctrine as an official religion and break with Ghost one eventually.
