The Steps and Values of the Martial Arts Trial Teaching Method for College Physical Education Majors in Teachers Colleges and Universities of Sports

The problems which pop up in the teaching of martial art in teachers colleges of sports inspired the author with an idea to integrate the theory of the Trial Teaching Methodology with the teaching of the Chinese martial art. After a brief introduction to the connotation of the martial art trial teaching method, the concrete teaching procedures and approaches were presented and the values of such a new approach were expounded: the enormous effect in inspiring students' learning go-aheadism; beneficial effect in fostering students' creative and explorative spirit; the promotion of students' ability of practice; the facilitating effect in improving teachers' professional capability; the function in promoting the learning atmosphere. And the new method is also found helpful in enhancing the teaching quality, pushing forward the teaching reform of martial arts and can play a positive role in cultivating applied teaching talents thus to carry forward the nation's traditional sports.
