Preparation of Magnetic Pectin/Chitosan Composite Microsphere and Its Adsorption Property

  • Pectin and Chitosan can be synthesized to dielectric complex PEC under a suitable system. An adsorbent was synthesized with PEC by combining the magnetic ferroferric oxide nanoparticles, which is characterized by IR,SEM and the TG/DTA. The conditions to the adsorption of Cu 2+were systemically investigated by the PEC composite magnetic microsphere absorbents, such as the adsorption time, the adsorbent dosages, the concentration of Cu 2+and the value of pH. The result shows that the best time of adsorption is 1.5 h by the PEC composite magnetic microspheres. Considering the unit adsorption and the removal rate, it is the best conditions to choose the dosage of 50 mg and the concentration of Cu 2+of 100 μg/mL. The value of pH should be controlled at about 5.72 because it can get the maximum adsorption, which can reach 20.33mg/g.
