On Current Situation of Kindergarten Teachers: A Case Study of the Old Revolutionary Base Dazhou, Sichuan

Abstract
With the methods of questionnaire and interview, the author of this paper has made a sampling survey of kindergarten teachers of one district and five counties of Dazhou, the old revolutionary area. He has found that there exist problems, such as the gender imbalance of these teachers, the relative low education of managers of the kindergartens, the obvious differences between rural and urban teachers, the low sense of professional identity and high professional taedium vitae, and the important role of the target major education and the training modes and the curriculum in the pre-job training. Accordingly, the author has suggested that we gradually improve the teachers' qualification and education, and promote the construction of kindergartens from more respects in order to provide an excellent teaching environment for their work. In addition, our government should increase the investment into the construction of rural kindergartens and narrow the gap between towns and countryside, promote the reliability and validity of teachers' training, and enhance the training of scientific research in an attempt to keep the sustainable development of pre-school teachers.
