A Study of Current Situation of Private Kindergartens: A Case Study of a City in Sichuan
Graphical Abstract
Abstract
Through the survey of private kindergartens in both towns and countries in the four district and two counties of a city in Sichuan, the author of this paper has found that there exist some problems as the unreasonable structure of staff's ages, the poor quality of their spare time activities, the low satisfaction with their salaries, less opportunities for further studies and the unstable teaching staff. To cope with such problems, the governments at various levels should stick to the human oriented principle in order to stimulate teachers' enthusiasm for their work and their innovative ability, and attach great importance to the teachers' professional development. At the same time, the private kindergartens themselves should be aware of their missions, pay much attention to improvement of their work, make more reflections and actively take a part in the teachers' activities of teaching research and educational innovation.
