On the Expression of Lack of Values concerning Life in Class Teaching and Its Causes

  • The classroom teaching is a kind of activity concerning life as well as a process by which the life value gets promoted. However, in current classroom teaching, the life value is missing, which can be shown in the utilitarianism oriented teaching aims, the teaching content with science as supremacy, the privileged lecture, indifferent interpersonal relationship between students and teachers who enjoy priority. The causes of lack of life value in the classroom teaching lie in the loss of spiritual world, checks and balances of traditional knowledge, prevalence of technical rationality, and the restriction of traditional teacher's dignity.
